The science behind the test
Raven's Progressive Matrices were developed in 1936 by psychologist John C. Raven and remain the gold standard of non-verbal intelligence testing. Because the puzzles use no words or numbers, they measure pure abstract reasoning — fairly, across languages and cultures. The same format is used by clinical psychologists, armed forces and high-IQ societies such as Mensa. Your score is calculated from age-normed tables: the average IQ is 100.
How it works
- Solve 60 visual puzzles. They get harder as you go — skipping is allowed.
- Watch the clock: you have 40 minutes for the whole test.
- Get your IQ score instantly and share your result page.
