Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
ProIQTest.com is an online IQ test website. Contact: admin@proiqtest.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Test answers and timing — kept temporarily in your browser session while you take the test, to compute your score.
- Name, email address, and age — entered by you after finishing the test. The age is required to calculate your IQ score; the name personalises your result page and certificate; the email identifies your result. These are stored in our database together with your score.
- Newsletter consent — we send you news about the site by email only if you tick the optional newsletter checkbox. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
- Your answer sheet — which option you chose for each of the sixty questions and how long you spent on it, stored with your result. It is what the detailed analysis is built from.
- Your IP address — stored with your result, and with any message sent through the contact form, to limit automated abuse. We also use it to work out which country a visit comes from, which tells us where to translate and which payment methods to offer. That lookup happens on our own server and gives a two-letter country code and nothing finer.
- Purchase records — if you buy the detailed analysis, we store the order number, the email address used, the amount and the currency. We never see or store card details.
3. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use a session cookie that is strictly necessary to run the test, and a second cookie that remembers which results were taken on this browser, so that your own result page greets you as its owner rather than as someone opening a shared link. It holds only the random codes from the address bar of results taken here, it is never sent anywhere but back to this site, and it is not used to track you or to build any profile. It lasts a year; clearing your cookies removes it, and the result link keeps working either way. We also use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are used; it sets cookies that give your browser a random identifier. We use this only in aggregate — we never try to identify you from it. You can opt out for all sites with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by enabling "Do Not Track"/blocking cookies in your browser. The test works fully either way.
We additionally use Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool, for the same purpose. Umami is cookieless: it sets no cookies, stores no personal data and does not track you across sites. It records only aggregate page and referrer counts.
On the result and offer pages only, we also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how the page is used — scrolling, taps and clicks — so we can see where the layout gets in the way. Text you type is masked and never recorded, and it never runs on the test itself or on the form where you enter your email. Clarity may set cookies of its own; see the Microsoft privacy statement.
Advertising. The test, the result, the certificate and the analysis are free, and the site is paid for by advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. How Google uses information from sites that show its ads is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their choice through Google's consent message, a certified consent-management platform under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, before cookies are used for advertising; without consent you are shown limited, non-personalised ads. If the age you give after the test is under 18, we ask Google for non-personalised ads only. Ads are never shown in our emails, on the certificate or on the form where you enter your details.
Our pages load a web font from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and your IP address is visible to them in the process.
To tell which country a visit comes from, we look your IP address up in a copy of the MaxMind GeoLite2 country database held on our own server. No request leaves our server and your address is not sent to anyone; the answer is a two-letter country code, never a street address, a household or a person. This product includes GeoLite Data created by MaxMind, available from maxmind.com, and GeoNames data (geonames.org) under CC BY 4.0.
3a. Payments
Nothing is sold on this site any more: the certificate and the detailed analysis are free for every result. If you bought the analysis before 1 October 2026, we keep the order number, the email address used, the amount and the currency for our accounts. The payment itself was handled by a reseller acting as merchant of record (Lemon Squeezy, LLC or Dodo Payments), never by us; see the privacy policies of Lemon Squeezy and Dodo Payments.
4. Result pages are shareable
Every result has a unique, hard-to-guess link. The result page shows your first name and IQ score to anyone who has the link. Do not share the link if you want your score to stay private. Your email address and age are never displayed publicly.
5. Data retention and your rights
Results are kept so that your shared result link continues to work. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by writing to admin@proiqtest.com. If you are in the EU/EEA you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. It is shared only with our hosting provider (to operate the site), with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity and Google AdSense as described above. Our own Umami analytics runs on a server we operate ourselves, and the country lookup described above contacts nobody at all.
